How to rotate a PDF

Select your PDF, choose 90° clockwise, 180° or 90° counter-clockwise, and download the fixed file. Need to rotate only some pages? Use the Organize PDF tool to rotate pages individually.

Rotating everything versus rotating one page

If the whole document is sideways, rotate all pages at once here. If only some pages are wrong — the usual result of feeding a stack through a scanner in mixed orientations — use Organize PDF, where you can rotate individual pages from their thumbnails.

Why a rotation sometimes will not stick

PDF pages carry a rotation property, and some viewers apply it only for display. If you rotate a page in a reader and it looks correct on screen but arrives sideways for the recipient, the rotation was never written into the file. Rotating here writes the new orientation into the saved document, so it travels with the file.

Landscape pages inside a portrait document

Wide tables and charts are often deliberately landscape. Rotating the whole document to fix one page will put everything else on its side — rotate just that page instead.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rotate just one page?

Yes — use the Organize PDF tool, which shows every page as a thumbnail with its own rotate button.

Will rotating change my PDF quality?

No. Rotation only changes the page orientation flag — the content itself is untouched.

My scan is upside down — which option fixes it?

Choose 180°. For sideways scans, use 90° clockwise or counter-clockwise depending on the direction.

Does rotating a PDF reduce quality?

No. Rotation changes a page property; the page content is not re-rendered or re-compressed.

Why does my PDF open sideways for other people?

Because the rotation was applied by your viewer for display only and never saved into the file. Rotating here writes it into the document itself.

Can I rotate just one page?

Yes, in Organize PDF — each thumbnail has its own rotate button.
